Empowering SLPs with valuable resources.

My path to becoming a speech-language pathologist was not a straight line. I began my studies in pharmacy, but during a deeply personal experience with my grandmother’s dementia, I discovered the field of speech-language pathology for the first time. Watching an SLP evaluate her speech, language, and cognition opened my eyes to the profound impact communication has on quality of life. That moment inspired me to change direction, pursue the rigorous prerequisites, and fully dedicate myself to this profession.
What began as a spark of interest quickly became a passion. I found myself deeply engaged in my coursework, particularly in the areas of neurogenic communication disorders, traumatic brain injury, and stroke rehabilitation. Alongside my love for working with children, these experiences gave me a strong foundation in both pediatric and adult care.
Today, I am a full-time speech-language pathologist serving students from elementary through high school. My work with younger students focuses on developing speech, language, and social communication skills, while my work with adolescents emphasizes higher-level language, executive functioning, and life skills essential for the transition into adulthood. I am committed to making therapy functional, individualized, and empowering—helping each student build the confidence and communication skills they need for academic, social, and lifelong success.
